As the world leader in the manufacture of professional telephone headsets, Plantronics have come a long way in the design and integration of telephone headset technology across the impressive  range of Plantronics headset products.

Although Plantronics have also moved into the “Gaming” and more domestic Bluetooth market more recently, they have there roots firmly fixed in providing high quality, well made and robust professional headsets for the business office and commercial markets.

Plantronics SupraPlus telephone headsets

By far, the most well known is the SupraPlus range which incorporates both corded and cordless (PLX SupraPlus binaural) telephone headsets and narrow band to wideband. The H251N, H261N (available in monaural and binaural) are the noise cancelling headsets often seen in call centres due to there sturdy and robust manufacture and tested technology.

To the latter end, the SupraPlus is also available in a wideband telephone headset with Plantronics SupraPlus HW251N although this wideband headset has been superseded by the EncorePro series which has more IP technology built in and is often chosen for businesses with IP VOIP telephony. It has been tested quite a bit by our clients and came up trumps every time.

Plantronics EncorePro

As I have already mentioned above, the new EncorePro series has moved in leaps and bounds where technology is concerned. The wideband optimised headset works well to ensure enhanced voice clarity and volume in IP telephony, the fastest growing area of telecoms. It is also worth noting that the Plantronics EncorePro telephone headset series is the best design yet in our opinion and matches the likes of its design rivals like Jabra GN Netcom and Sennheiser.

Plantronics Wireless (cordless) CS60 CS70

Plantronics wireless or corded has also been a firm target for Plantronics with the wireless CS60 as the work horse of cordless telephone headsets and available in DECT and USB flavours, this was followed by the Plantronics CS70 noise cancelling DECT wireless headset but the CS60 is still current and popular as ever for those businesses who have always chosen Plantronics.

Plantronics Voyager 510 and 510S wireless headsets

Plantronics Voyager 510 and 510S are also worthy of note as a useful business grade wireless headset ideal for laptop computers as it is available in USB (510S) format as well.

Plantronics Savi Office 100 200

The new Plantronics Savi Office range consisting of the Savi Office 100 and 200 USB headset. The 100 and 200 are wideband headsets and so optimised for IP telephony and for use with all major Unified communications platforms including Microsoft, Cisco, Nortel and Avaya.
