Jabra Pro 9470 wireless cordless telephone headset

Show me all the the Jabra wireless cordless headsets

The demand for wireless headsets (or cordless headsets if you prefer) is gathering pace as each month passes. The two “big boys” of wireless headsets are still Jabra (owned by GN Netcom) and Plantronics.

Both businesses are trying to out do each other in the who is best stakes, the true winner is you!, the headset buying public, such is the demand for wireless headsets, that Jabra and Plantronics are creating high end and multi featured cordless headsets that pass all the quality tests and get a big thumbs up from us at Headsets4business.

So Why choose Jabra wireless headsets?,

In our opinion, it comes down to build quality, features and battery life. With the advent of wideband sound comes the requirement to enable this feature into the wireless headset. Jabra do this really well in all models.

Headsets4business UK provide wireless Jabra headsets like the GN9330E, GN9350E and the Jabra Go cordless range of telephone headsets at great  prices. Please feel free to contact us with any query you may have regarding Jabra or any other headset on 0844 7362 409

wireless headsets Cisco IP Phones

Show me all the Cisco wireless headsets

When choosing a wireless or cordless headset for your Cisco IP phone, please ensure you purchase the correct headset rather than just going on price alone. The main reason for this is that there are many wireless headsets for all types of IP telephones but some are specifically designed for Cisco especially 7942G, 7945G, 7962G, 7965G and 7975G

The following Jabra Wireless Headsets are all tested and co designed with the Cisco’s Developer Network program. Jabra GN Netcom has developed a wide range of Jabra headsets that are integrated with Cisco Unified IP Phones and Cisco Unified Communication platforms.

Why Jabra?

  • Jabra wireless headsets support remote call control via the EHS (Electronic Hook Switch) It is known by Cisco as a Headset Hookswitch Control (HHC) (HHC adapter is required for Cisco phones, see * below) enabling the users to answer and end calls.
  • This does away with the Headset lifters which have been used up to now to get around this fundamental problem.
  • Installation is “Plug n Play” and ensures seamless integration with your Cisco IP phone.
  • Ergonomically designed and extremely comfortable to wear during the working day
  • They offer true wide band sound and voice clarity (GN9120 is not wideband)

Wireless headset models we recommend for Cisco IP phones as they are all sanctioned by Cisco for use with there IP phones:

Jabra GN9350e wireless headset

Jabra GN9120 Dect EHS Flexboom wireless headset

Jabra GO 6430 OC Noise Blackout wireless headset

Jabra GO 6470 OC Noise Blackout

Jabra Pro 9460 Monaural Flexboom

Jabra Pro 9460 Duo Flex NC (out in July 2010)

Jabra Pro 9470 Monaural Midi

*Jabra HHC Adapters
The Jabra Link HHC Adapter enables remote Headset Hookswitch Control (HHC) with Jabra wireless headsets and Cisco Unified IP Phones. It is a plug-and-play solution  that converts from the HHC standard used in Cisco phones to the DHSG standard used in Jabra headsets – and vice versa

Handset-Headset compatibility: 7942G, 7945G, 7962G, 7965G and 7975G. Cisco Unified IP Phone release 8.3(3) will enable the HHC functionality.

Please feel free to contact us on 0844 7362 409 if you need assistance in choosing the correct wireless headset for your Cisco IP phone.

Jabra review GN9350E wireless headset

Show me all the Jabra wireless headsets

Althought the Jabra GN9350 wireless headset has been around for a while, the new jabra GN9350E version is packed full of features and improvements as you would expect from the one of the world leaders in headset design and technology.

The Jabra GN9350E wireless headset’s main strengths are the fact that it is optimised for MOC Microsoft Office Commuincator and so is the ideal candidate for IP telephony (its a wideband headset too!) but it will work on any business desk top phone also!

its light and very comfortable to wear, it has an impressive 300m range which we have tried and as long as you dont have 8ft thick walls, it works great. As one of our best selling headsets along with its partner the lesser spec GN9330E , our review is almost insignificant as the orders speak for themselves.

Consequently we have to give it a well earned 5 star rating!

Jabra GN Netcom GN2000 Flex Boom Noise Cancelling GN 2000 Headset and the Ouch Factor

Monday, January 25th, 2010

Jabra GN Netcom GN2000 flexboom headset

Ouch! My aching ear! That’s what you hear people saying a lot who have to wear headsets for hours at a time. That’s because many units on the market are not designed for extended wear or for different ear angles.  So if you have ever said, “ouch” while wearing a phone headset, it’s time to consider buying a Jabra GN Netcom GN2000 Flex Boom Noise Cancelling GN 2000 Headset.

This headset is like a luxury version of a practical device. It was designed for people who use headsets regularly. Actually, it was designed so people who use headsets regularly could wear them comfortably. That’s important because it eliminates the “ouch” factor.

The Jabra BN Netcom GN2000 has two main features that make it so comfortable to wear all day.

  • Large ear cushions made of foam and leatherette
  • Gimballed mountings for ear pieces

The gimballed mountings make it possible for the ear cushions to adapt to the wearer’s particular ear shape and angle. If you watch people who are wearing uncomfortable headsets, they are always pushing them forward or back or lifting them up to relieve pressure on their ears. You won’t see them doing those things while wearing the Jabra GN 2000 headset because the ear pieces will move up or down or angle in a way that enables them to sit comfortably on the ears.

So Much More to Love…

There’s a whole lot more to love about this headset then just the earpieces though.  For example, the Jabra GN2000 has excellent call clarity.  The GN 2000 IP headset works on a frequency response up to 6,800 Hz which is wideband. The GN 2000 will work on telephone systems that are not able to handle wideband telephony.

Do you wonder why a product would have such a long name as Jabra GN Netcom GN200 Flex Boom Noise Cancelling GN 2000 Headset? It’s long because the headset has so many features that deserve notice.

  • Flex boom arm
  • Noise cancelling technology
  • Stereo quality sound
  • In line sound controls
  • Built strong for extended usage
  • Wideband sound
  • Easy to use headset

The amazing feature of this headset is its ability to cut off sudden deafening noises. That’s a feature any regular headset wearer will greatly appreciate. The technology that makes this possible is called PeakStop TM technology. Any noise above 118 dB SPL is recognized as a loud noise and is stopped in its tracks.

Plug and Play

Call something a plug-and-play and it means it’s supposed to be easy to install and easy to use. How many times have you thought you were buying plug-and-play technology only to find out you were lied to?  Users of this headset system confirm it really is easy to use. That’s good  news.

The Jabra GN 2000 Netcom headset has even more features.  It has a USB connector, works with Microsoft Windows, has an optional standard microphone, and sound can be adjusted for one ear or two ears.

Reviewers of this headset always point out how perfectly designed it is for a noisy office or call centre. The entire headset system was built for call clarity and that’s why it is so good at eliminating background noises.  If you’re looking for a high quality and durable headset then you can’t go wrong buying the Jabra GN Netcom GN2000 Flex Boom Noise Cancelling GN 2000 Headset.
