How to Use a USB Training Splitter for Dual Headset Setup

A USB training splitter is an essential tool for creating an efficient dual headset setup in your call center or customer service department/small business etc.

This simple device allows both a supervisor and trainee to listen to calls simultaneously, enhancing the coaching experience.

To set up your USB training splitter:

Connect the splitter to your computer's USB port
(the splitter cable is also known as a "Y" cable due to its shape, the bottom of the Y goes into the computer (usb device)
Plug in both headsets to the splitter
The tops of "Y" (the 2 of them) go into each of the quick disconnect plugs on each headset top.
Note* Ensure you get the correct kind of usb training splitter lead for the brand of headsets you are using as they all use different kinds of QD plugs.
Configure your softphone settings to recognize the dual audio output
