Wired Headsets (standard jack)
The Polycom VVX 601 will accept 2 types of wired headset. The standard square type headset Jack found on the back of the Phone, compatible for any number of wired headsets but this 601 IP Phone also has the ability to accept USB headsets as well. USB Wired Headsets
Nearly all the new Polycom VVX series but especially the 601 IP Phone has 2 USB ports. This allows any compatible USB device to be connected which includes USB headsets. The following headsets are all compatible with the VVX 601

If you are looking for less clutter on your desk then maybe you should consider using a wireless headset for the Polycom vvx 601 IP Phone. All the recommended wireless headsets for the 601 below are DECT headsets And use the same technology found in a domestic cordless Phone , this provides up to 120 meters wireless headsets coverage in most cases .Polycom compatible headsets are not Bluetooth as many People think.
